What is Zarzuela USA International?
Zarzuela USA International is a non-profit organization founded in 2019, with the mission of promoting this genre as an expression of Hispanic identity and social optimism, encouraging the use of the Spanish language in the United States, and supporting lyrical artists at all stages of their careers. The organization is dedicated to keeping the zarzuela tradition alive and bringing it closer to new generations.
Promoting Zarzuela: Celebrating Hispanic Identity, Language, and Lyrical Diversity
To promote Spanish musical lyrical theater: ZARZUELA.
Through this program we aim to introduce Zarzuela to audiences of all ages, cultures, and ethnicities, inspiring their passion and interest in this genre as a vibrant expression of Hispanic identity.
To promote the Spanish language in the United States, home to over 60 million Hispanics.
With over 10,000 works created in Spain and an additional 4,000 works from Latin America, zarzuela remains an artistic and cultural bridge that connects Spanish-speaking communities worldwide.
To support lyrical artists regardless of age, gender, race, or nationality.
Artistic growth and professional evolution are unique to each individual; that is why we believe that every artist, regardless of their personal circumstances, deserves a place in Zarzuela USA Intl to develop and strengthen their talent.
